Morning Workshops

For Full-Day Conference Participants

Workshops in writing picture books, chapter books, and novels, along with our illustration workshop are at the heart of the conference. Workshops meet for 4 hours each morning.

Full-conference participants select a workshop that matches their current projects or interests and then bring some of their work to the conference to be critiqued by their peers and award-winning faculty member. A conference assistant will contact each full-day conference participant to let him/her know what specifically to bring to the workshop.

Each workshop group will enjoy lunch together at a local restaurant on Thursday afternoon. Workshop space is limited, so sign up early.

Writing Workshops, capped at 14 participants each

Illustration Workshop, capped at 18 participants

In addition to the morning workshops and Thursday luncheon, full-day conference tuition includes all afternoon sessions. Download a preliminary copy of the 2010 afternoon schedule, which includes presenters and titles.
